Sander Kleinenberg - 4 Seasons Ep Part 2 [Combined Forces 029]
Favourite Track: A
Future Chart Position: Yes - 2
Additional Comments: Sander Kleinenberg Delivers the Goods on this eagerly awaited doublepack.
Overall Rating: 10!
Full Review At Long Last the man returns.... I have been following this guy ever since his "The Rhythm" release on Deal and I have to say that Venus & Mars is one of his best productions ever. Being championed by Danny Howells this deep & trancy Ep will make you not leave it alone. Vocoders are at the use on Sound Family while Sleazy Slippers and Observatory are less accessable but still shouldn't be ignored. For all you in the UK like me who follow this guy - no doubt this will be signed up to Essential again so get nagging. Made my day recieving this!

Various - Best Of Bitter Lemon[Combined Forces 027]
Favourite Track: C
Future Chart Position: No
Additional Comments: Very Commercial Chart based material here. It's OK but not my sort of thing
Overall Rating: 6
Full Review "Aggghhhh Cheese" was my first response to this E.P, initially going to give it 2 or 3 out of 10, however there is one very nice tune on this doublepack.... "Sexability - Loose Control" is very funky and trancey piano belter. Havanna - Call Girl would be a nice tune except it uses that damn Alice DJ JD-990 Patch. The other two I do not like very much but buy it if you are addicted to this label. Or just buy it for "Loose Control" as it is very nice.

Josh & Miri - Lost In Time[Combined Forces CF030]
Favourite Track: A1
Future Chart Position: Yes - 15
Additional Comments: I Couldn't resist speeding this one up to a happycore pace... that's what got it the 7 as it sounds not that good at 45 rpm... sounds ok speeded up though.
Overall Rating: 7
Full Review This tune made me laugh... When I played it at 45 rpm I thought theres not much in that, I speeded it up and it turned into a very nice happy hardcore tune which if I was a happy hardcore DJ would play lots. The record still enters my chart as it fits in perfectly with my set. The tune and lyrics are quite catchy as well.

Survivors - Heaven [Rewind 018]
Favourite Track: A1
Future Chart Position: Yes - 11
Additional Comments: Lush trance with some very strong German influences.
Overall Rating: 7
Full Review This record sounds exactly like something an artist on Drizzly would produce. Very Hard and very simple melody which DJ Taucher fans would probably love. A bit harder than the usual rewind stuff however I think it is very hard and on the B-Side, the "Joker Mix" is more for people who are into Lange and his more melodic interpretations. I personally prefer the harder original mix, still its up to you... Enjoy.

Hush - Fluctuate [Caged 012]

Crowds Reaction: 8 (If You disagree then feedback to Red.Parrot@Virgin.Net)
Chart Position: 11
Favourite Mix: Allegiance Mix
Comments: Top Tune, Lovely Remix.
Full Review Licensed from the Excellent Free For All label in holland, this tune draws me in immediatley by the Allegiance mix(Jonesey and Jon Riley Mix). It builds up with a typically hard house build up with a lovely tidy trax style bass line, the main riff comes in then it sounds 10x better! Definatley a really nice mix. The remake on the other side sounds a little like Ransom - My Dance, very nice filtering of the riff comes in the first breakdown that is very similar to some of Freejack's tunes on combined forces. Definatley a nice 2 tracker here.

Hush - Fluctuate [Caged 013]

Chart Position: 11
Favourite Mix: Original Mix.
Comments: Top Tune, Lovely Remix.
Full Review Part 2 of this Doublepack sees Ian Wilkie on remix duties for the A-Side and the B-Side has the lovely original mix. The Ian Wilkie's "Deep Dub" mix is exactly that, exactly the sort of thing that Timo Maas would play but still keeping an element of the trancey original mix. The Original Mix is definatley the mix for me, however sounding like it was created using Fast Tracker it still has a very nice element to it and a really annoyingly catchy riff that's bound to please all who are into Free For all's usual stuff. Nice.

Amanda Ghost - Glory Girl [Warners]
Your Reaction: 5
Crowds Reaction: 5 (If You disagree then feedback to Red.Parrot@Virgin.Net)
Chart Position: No.
Favourite Mix: Peter Rauhoffer Remix of "Filthy Mind"
Comments: Don't Like this too much... way too commercial.
Full Review 2 mixes of each tune (Filthy Mind & Glory Girl) are on this record. The Filthy Mind Mixes are bearable as they are the sort of thing I don't mind listening to. However the Glory Girl mixes I think are completely cheesy chartbound rubbish and the Boy George & Kinky Roland mix is much slower than i`m used to and have dodgy elements in them. The Trancebaleric dub doesn't do that much to improve this .So if you see this record for sale I`d buy it on the Strenght of the Rauhoffer mixes only. Still it could be worse and if you disagree send a message to Red Parrot.
