FIVE HTP - Yucatan [Part Of The Deal 011]
Favourite Track: A1
Future Chart Position: No
Additional Comments: Nice progressive Pounder
Overall Rating: 7

Full Review The elusive Five Htp team are some guys who I have ignored before but I am seriously going to start watching out for them. This release was much better than I expected it to be. Just missing a charting in my top 20 it still has serious potential to go quite far. Yutucan has a mechanical and weird riff which shows they have some trance influences and it also has some nice stabs and nice underlaying bass drum & bass line. B-Side Northernlight has a really cool drum pattern, an odd bassline, some nice refreshing strings and is very weird but still pleasing to hear.

VIRTUAL 7 - Don't Need Love [Rewind 015](Rewind 015)
Favourite Track: A1
Future Chart Position: Yes - No 3
Additional Comments: A Freejack Style club track that I will love playing - Definately going to stay in top 10 for a long long time.
Overall Rating: 10

Full Review An absolutely brilliant tune done by producers who 'live near to Freejack.' Sounding very commercial, this energetic pumping trance tune will no doubt having them going mental at any club. Strong bass line and synths and some really well produced drumlines make this one tune that I am sure you will hear loads over the summer.... It also has a wicked string breakdown. B-Side Hold me back is more housier but still would have serious potential with some house mixes - ONE TO WATCH!!!.

Yahel - Devotion [Cyber Vs Combined Forces promo]
Favourite Track: B1
Future Chart Position: Yes - 16
Additional Comments: Nice Rank 1 Sounding tune which I like a lot - I'd actually like to know more about this
Overall Rating: 8

Full Review Trance tune that sounds very similar to Rank 1. It has been remixed by Armin Van Buuren and is a combination of Cyber records and Combined Forces. Some nice strings and an nice piano riff. The flip side is the best. Its a white label with not much info. This one has serious potential to be big.

Royal Club 2000 - Unknown [Rotate 007]
Favourite Track: B1
Future Chart Position: Yes - 20
Additional Comments: Weird sitar sounding house track that ermmm is weird.
Overall Rating: 7

Full Review I have mixed feelings about this track... my initial reaction was 'what the hell is this ???' and thought it deserved 0. Since then I have decided that sitars can work on a track and it sounds quite good. Sort of thing you'd play when everyone is tired and dancing to anything. Its very odd. I can't review the A-side as I laughed so much at it. However download the mp3 clip and judge for yourself.

Alpha Breed - Missing Link [Deal 032]
Favourite Track: B1
Future Chart Position: Yes - 7
Additional Comments: Very Similar to Epic Future but much better
Overall Rating: 9

Full Review Ralph Barendse's new tunes deliver something very similar to "Epic Future" but much better, the riff shares some similarity to it but it takes it in another direction. Really tight production from the Ex Impulse Tracker user. Smashing.

Release Date: 19/06/00

M.U.S.E & DJ San - Denderra [Rewind 014]
Favourite Track: A1
Future Chart Position: Yes - 12
Additional Comments: Nicely Produced Trance tune which I will play. With nice underlay and riff.
Overall Rating: 8

Full Review I've heard so much hype about these two, since "Fearless Distance" was released. This just proves that I was right. Simple yet effective trance that sounds similar to Ralph's earlier tunes on Deal. Nice energetic riff that sounds like it was done on 'Vaz Modular.' This is a combined effort of Part Of The Deal 006 (Life's A Junction) and The title track off Rewind 009. The Flip side is a completely different house tune. Very nice & funky and this tune has serious potential.

Release Date: 26/06/00
